MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Whitehaven family is homeless after their home was heavily damaged by an overnight fire.

The fire started just before midnight Sunday night in the 1000 block of Haledale Road near Elvis Presley Blvd. and Shelby Dr.

Firefighters say the fire started in the basement and may be related to a power outage that occurred earlier in the day.

Luckily, the family wasn’t home when the fire broke out.

No firefighters were injured.
