MEMPHIS, Tenn. -- The Head of Homeland Security will head to the border to see the U.S. response to the influx of illegals.

Meanwhile, some doctors are concerned about the increased health problems immigrants may be bringing into the country.

Dr. Stephen Threlkeld, an Infectious Disease Expert with Baptist, spoke with us on Live at 9 about the issue.

  • Hard Truths

Human laws — and migration routes that go back to prehistory — and diseases — are not subject to man-made laws that are recent, ra cist in intent, and callously designed to keep humans out of territory that they inhabited for tens of thousands of years before Europeans even landed — illegally — on this continent and this hemisphere..

And let us not forget that the Mexican-American War was a war of American aggression that was instigated on pretext by President Polk. It stole the southwest quadrant of the US from Mexico, whose people had lived there for tens of THOUSANDS of years.

Even those of us who are descended from the EARLIEST European settlers in America have been here less than 400 years, and in a few instances,450 years (Spanish settlers founded Santa Fe, NM in 1578, IIRC.)
