MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Zach Randolph has agreed to a two-year extension with the Grizzlies, alleviating concerns he might leave the team.
The deal includes a $16.5 million option for the upcoming season and $10 million per year for two years.
Yahoo Sports first reported the news Friday morning.
Wednesday, word leaked contract extension talks between Z-Bo and the Grizzlies hit a snag and Z-Bo would likely opt out of the final year of his deal and test free agency.
Later in the day, Z-Bo’s agent came out and said the reports were not true and he and Z-Bo were willing to negotiate dollars and years to make things work in Memphis.
