PIGEON FORGE, Tenn. — Pop star Katy Perry drew a lot of attention Thursday when she spent the day at Dollywood.

Dollywood officials confirmed Perry’s visit and said she was specifically in the area to go to the Dolyl Parton owned park.

Perry has made no secret of her love for Dolly and alerted the park ahead of time she would be visiting.

Dollywood is known for quality music shows, history about Dolly Parton and some great thrill rides.

The FireChaser Express is the first family friendly dual launch roller coaster in the United States.

Instead of a large hill, the coaster shoots you out of the station like a bullet.

The ride is said to be thrilling but one that an elementary school age children can ride.

Perry performs tonight in Nashville.
