Man captured after police pursuit

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is in custody after leading law enforcement officers on a pursuit late this morning.

The Shelby County Fugitive Apprehension Team spotted a man who was wanted for outstanding warrants and tried to pull him over.

Police say 29-year-old Montavius Martin took off and led police on short pursuit.

The suspect crashed his car in the 3400 block of Wingood and was taken into custody.

Martin was wanted for Aggravated Rape, Assault, Robbery, Harassment and Kidnapping.
