MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man who barricaded himself in a home was taken into custody Monday.

Deputies were serving a drug warrant in the 800 block of Maple when the man ran into a home.

Two people who were inside the home got out.

They and two others already outside were detained for questioning.

The man inside the home, identified as 24-year-old Rodenick Winston, shot at the officers, who returned fire.

No one was hurt, and Watson barricaded himself in the home for a short time before surrendering.

Deputies then found two stolen weapons inside the home.

Watson was charged with two counts of attempted murder and theft of property over $1,000.

if it is who i think it is, he has had numerous unlawful possession of firearm, resisting arrest, and evading charges, even was caught with a gun used in a homicide… County was probably serving the warrant that was issued at the end of last week.

My goodness News Channel 3. It is Rodenick Winston NOT Watson. Now you have a name and it is wrong. Accurate reporting is still important. Being the first one with the story shouldn’t be your goal, especially if your information is inaccurate! Get it together. Again, step your game up!
