Teen admits to murdering parents because they took away iPod

NORFOLK, Va. — A Virginia 10th-grader admitted in court he killed his parents one week before Christmas because he had grown tired of their seemingly routine punishments, “like my dad taking away my iPod and stuff,” WTKR reports.

Vincent Parker, 16 and an honor roll student at Norview High School, attacked his mother, Carol, as she came out of a bathroom in their home.

He told police he doused his mother with pepper spray, stabbed her in the eye, and then beat her in the face and head with a baseball bat and a crowbar “until she stopped breathing.”

When Vincent’s father, Wayne, arrived home, his son attacked him with a crowbar and then stabbed him several times.

Wayne Parker reportedly lived long enough to tell police what happened.

“I just remember getting mad,” Vincent told investigators. “It’s all from my dad. All this stuff like my dad taking away my iPod and stuff.”

Vincent is being tried as an adult and plead guilty to two counts of second-degree murder.

A psychiatric evaluation showed Vincent was both sane and intelligent.
