Convicted felon arrested after pointing gun at officers
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man, previously convicted on felony drug charges, is back in custody after reportedly pointing a gun at Memphis police.
Police were called to the 1300 block of Bryan Street early this morning after reports of gun shots being fired on Standridge Street.
As police pulled up, they saw an, ‘armed male flee the scene.’
Police say the man pointed a gun at the officers, at which time the officers pulled their guns and told him to drop the gun.
Nicholas Christian, 21, refused and started running until he was caught in the 1300 block of Standridge.
Police found a Glock Model 22, Generation 4 handgun which was reported stolen from a vehicle on May 5.
Christian was arrested and charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault, Theft of Property over $500, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Handgun, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Evading Arrest.
