No arrest in death of Elvis fan from Wales

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It has been a week since an Elvis fan visiting Memphis was killed.

Andrea Baker, who was from Wales, was a huge Elvis fan and had visited Graceland numerous times.

Baker’s latest visit to Memphis ended last Sunday when she was hit by a car while crossing an exit ramp from I-55 at Brooks Road.

Baker had just attended a show by Elvis tribute artist Joe Kent at the Clarion Inn and was walking to the Airport Inn.

The driver never stopped and no arrest has been made.

Kent wrote on his Facebook page that family and friends were raising money to have Baker’s body sent back to Wales.

It turns out travel insurance will pay that cost, so money raised will help pay for her funeral.

If Elvis was still living, he would have sold Graceland a long time ago, and moved back to Mississippi.
