(Tupelo, MS) James Everett Dutschke now says he did not make, then send ricin laced letters to President Obama, Senator Roger Wicker and Lee County Justice Court Judge Sadie Holland.

In January, Dutschke entered a guilty plea.

Tuesday afternoon however, Dutschke changed that plea.

The Clarion-Ledger reports today Dutschke, “launched into a rant against Kevin Curtis, the Elvis impersonator he attempted to frame for the letters, comparing him to Barney the Dinosaur. Then Dutschke compared himself to an Olympic gymnast.”

Curtis was arrested for the attack but then turned investigators toward Dutschke.

All charges for Curtis were dropped.

The recommendation for sentencing, which was to take place today, was 300 months in federal prison, with time already spent in jail counting toward that.

A trial date will now be set for Dustschke.
