Carjacking Ends With Suspect Being Cut Out Of Car

(Memphis) A carjacking Friday ended with the suspect having to be cut out of the vehicle.

The carjacking was reported just before 11:30 a.m. in the 2900 block of Capri.

The victim told police he was robbed at gunpoint and his Chevrolet Impala was stolen.

The vehicle was spotted just before noon near Winchester and Knight.

Officers pulled the car over but the driver then took off, eventually crashing at  Clearbrook and Winchester.

The suspect was trapped in the stolen car and had to be cut out.

He was taken to the Regional Medical Center and was non-critical at last report..
