(Memphis) Police say a 20-year-old man broke into a house during the early morning hours and raped a 14-year-old girl who had been sleeping inside.
It happened more than two weeks ago at a home in the 1800 block of Forest Glen, but Montrell Clark was just arrested Monday and charged with aggravated rape and burglary.
Investigators say Clark got into the home through a kitchen window and brought the girl out of a bedroom to the living room, where he raped her.
They say when the girl refused to do what he said, he choked her.
Before he left, he told her he would kill her if she told anybody about what happened.
In 2012, Clark was charged with the statutory rape of another 14-year-old girl at the Millcreek Apartments in Whitehaven.
The girl told police it happened in a stairwell of the apartments while she was visiting a friend.
Clark told police the sex was consensual and that it had happened before, but the teen said he threatened to put a video of her having sex with a friend on Facebook if she did not have sex with him.
Clark's girlfriend, who is two months pregnant with his child, didn't want to be identified, but said Clark's mother told her about the statutory rape charge and said she learned about the new accusations against him a coupe of weeks ago.
She said Clark knows the victim and she can't believe it's true.
"I just pray he didn't do that. He's got all little girls. I just hope he didn't," said the girlfriend.
She says he has three daughters all under the age of three.
Clark is still awaiting trial on the statutory rape charge.
He made his first court appearance on the new charges Tuesday and is being held on $100,000 bond.
