Fired Police Officer Indicted For Rape

(Memphis) A former Memphis police officer was indicted for rape Tuesday.

According to the DA Office, a woman says Darrell Malone raped her after she went to his apartment to get a computer on April 3, 2013.

He has been released on a $50,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court in June.

Malone was fired in February 2013 after being accused of calling the police dispatch center to get a man’s personal cellphone number so he could threaten him.

He was found not guilty of harassment in February of this year.

good grief, I think he should have stayed away! Guess the victim from the harassment charge is laughing now.

It sure didn’t take long for this jerk to soil himself AGAIN.

THIS is why Memphis has such a miserable excuse for a police department — they keep hiring thugs like this poor excuse for a human being.

Imagine all the ones just like him ON the police force who haven’t been busted yet.

Please remember you are talking about someone’s child who loves him. I was not aware that Memphis elected you to be anyone’s judge and jury. Congratulations on such a difficult job. I am thankful I did not get it.

And let’s remember the FOOL jury that cut him loose from his PREVIOUS crime. Have to believe that was an OJ style jury.

    • Dr. JohnS

No, I do not have to believe anything but that this man is a mothers son who loves him very much. I trust the people who sit on the jury to do the right thing. I have to apologize, you were the one appointed by the city to be judge and jury over everyone.

Did you really believe that Darrell Malone was EVER fit to serve in MPD?

I think his Mom needs to face up to the fact that she raised a predator. And she is partly to blame. No tears.

I don’t get your attitude, Dr. John. You aren’t some illiterate ranting idiot — from either side — but you find sympathy for people who just do not deserve it.

PS. Memphis has a serious problem with its police force.

all the good officers are leaving the department because of all the benefects that are have been taken away, for all they have to put up with
we should be giving them raises. you can credit all this to our mayor

Younger officers, those hired since 9/11, are a bunch of militarized thugs. Older officers who aren’t part of the sickness themselves are disgusted with young thugs like Darrell Malone. And so many more like him, who just haven’t been caught doing something stupid and criminal — YET.

      • Dr. JohnS

One question, do you know this to be true? I know several young officers who were hired after 9/11, they are respectful, and do their job with due diligence. I know their family well, I hate it that someone one like you call them a “thug” when you do not know them. I hope their children do not read the comments on here.

What a huge exaggeration. Everyone knows that their has been corruption in the Police force since forever. This is not something new. You mus be 8 or 9 years old.

    • Dr. JohnS

Mark I will have to disagree with you. I know several young police officers and they are proud to be working in the city and rear their family here. I know their wife and children and I know how much respect they have for the people they work to protect and serve.

Now if you are saying that it is typical that all police officers are respectful and do their job well – please forgive me.

Nope, Memphis Police Department is riddled with misfits and psychopaths. Your lofty generalizations notwithstanding.

You are not credible, sir. Whose troll are you, precisely?
