Photos: Glimpses Of Princes William And Harry In Memphis

(Memphis) Prince William and Prince Harry are in Memphis for a friend’s wedding and visited a legendary local restaurant for dinner Thursday.

While the royals enjoyed some BBQ at The Rendezvous, security lined Second Street.

Friday, the brothers visited Graceland, home of Memphis royalty and King of Rock and Roll, Elvis Presley.

It’s still a guessing game as to where else in Memphis they might turn up, although two events are guaranteed – the rehearsal dinner at the Memphis Country Club on Friday, and the wedding Saturday at Hunt and Polo Club.

Their close friend Guy Pelly is marrying former-Memphian Elizabeth “Lizzy” Wilson. She’s the granddaughter of Holiday Inn founder Kemmons Wilson.

Prince William and Prince Harry reportedly rented an entire floor at the Peabody hotel and are also renting a house that connects to the wedding venue.

Get a life people………Putin wants the Ukraine for a missile launch site and Prez Obummer wants attention for Benghazi diverted to an 80 year old man with a gold digging mistress.

I guess this is one of those news reports where I’m supposed to feel warm and fuzzy.

Oh no Mike, it is doubtful you would ever feel anything warm and fuzzy. I just happen to think it is a great idea for them to be here. Who knows what company or person they are acquainted with might want to invest in Memphis. I know you hate Memphis from all your comments, get over yourself and get a life.

Some of us think Memphis is a great city, has a few problems, but look past the problems and you see things and people you will never see in the rest of the world.

Just crawl back into your little hole and next February you can forecast the coming of spring.

This is weird timing after Will and Kate’s trip down under. And with no announcement? Doubly weird. Let’s hope the Royal Highnesses behave themselves.

Joe bo you know mike is an avowed atheist which is his right. I, for on am a believer in the Almighty God. Regardless of religion am very wary of people with no faith in the creator. Have a good. Weekend.

Do you realize that even atheists can have valid opinions? There’s a reason close to 90% of the academic community are atheists. Not saying believers of any religion cannot be intellectual, but writing someone off just because they don’t believe in the same god you believe in is incredibly naive and bigoted. Not only that, but your post had nothing constructive to say about anything he said; all you did was attack him because of his beliefs.

I feel sorry for the “Royals” who cannot even come to Memphis to enjoy the sights and sounds of Beale Street. I guess when one thinks of it..really, do they ever get to enjoy and get the real “feel” for a place?? For a real experience, they need to be in disguises!

    • canadianwhiskeygirl

Brenda, I totally agree with u. They cant really enjoy sights like we normal people can. They have tight security around them constantly. What a lifw!!

Memphis is getting lots of attention because of this! A good thing!
Better to be looked at than overlooked as the saying goes!

Why is this even news! These people are elite s…who care nothing for the common man…

    • John

I hope the royal family noticed the hearing access at Graceland. The UK was the inspiration for the induction loops added at Graceland.

They are very convincing and will definitely work. Nonetheless,
the posts are too short for beginners. May just you please prolong them a little from subsequent time?
