Teen Stabbed To Death At School For Turning Down Prom Date

(Milford, CT) A 16-year-old girl is dead after being stabbed at her school.

There indications the girl was attacked after refusing to go to prom with a classmate.

Police in Milford, CT say a male student, also 16, stabbed Maren Sanchez around seven this morning in a hallway inside a Jonathan Law High School.

Police say a staff member saw the attack and tried to help.

The suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

Tonight’s school prom has been cancelled.

Also today, 16-year-old Alex Hribal has been charged as an adult with four counts of attempted homicide and 21 counts of aggravated assault.

Witnesses say Hribal attacked his classmates at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, PA outside Pittsburgh April 9.
