Man Charged With Supplying Teen Drug Ring

(Memphis) A Fayette County man has been charged with providing drugs to a group of teens who then sold them in the Memphis area.

Richard Manuel Stewart, 35, is charged with five counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Manufacture, Deliver or Sell.

In a joint operation, Stewart’s homes was raided.

Inside, investigators found 603 grams of marijuana, 985 grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, 711 grams of MDMA (Molly) and 980 hits of LSD.

Stewart, who is a convicted felon, had a shotgun, rifle and four handguns, one of which was reported stolen from Memphis.

Prosecutors say Stewart, “was targeting teens and young adults with ‘gateway’ and ‘party drugs.’
