Oklahoma City, OK– After a dreadful 1st half that saw them fall behind by as many as 25, the Grizzlies mounted a huge comeback only to see the rally fall short in a 100-86 loss to the Thunder in Game 1 of their Western Conference playoff series.

The Grizz outscored OKC 31-13 in the 3rd quarter, getting to within 74-72 on Mike Miller’s only basket of the game–a 3-pointer.  But Kevin Durant scored 13 of his game high 33 points to help hold off the Grizzlies.

Zach Randolph led the Grizz with 21 points while Mike Conley and Marc Gasol each had 16.

Game 2 of the series is Monday night in Oklahoma City.
