(Memphis)  Two paramedics with the Memphis Fire Department are recovering after their ambulance was involved in an overnight crash.

Police say the ambulance flipped over on State Route 385 just east of the I-240 interchange around 2 a.m. Monday.

Dispatchers say the two paramedics were not on a call and did not have a patient on board.

The driver told investigators there was water on the road, the pavement in the area is uneven and the vehicle hydroplaned.

They were both taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital in stable condition.
