(Memphis)  A rollover accident on Interstate 40 overnight has left one person dead.

The one-vehicle crash happened around 2:45 a.m. Friday in the westbound lanes of I-40 east of the Warford St. exit in the Raleigh area.

Investigators say a 2000 Jeep Cherokee, driven by 25-year-old Xavier Ware, lost control, struck a light pole and flipped over.

The vehicle ended up in the ditch on the right side of the highway.

Paramedics say Ware was unresponsive and they pronounced him dead at the scene.

This is a sad loss. I remember Xavier as a baby/toddler and preschooler at the daycare that I worked at. He was a sweet, energetic little boy and had an awesome family. I am sorry for your loss in this tragic way! I know how much you loved your children and how much Angel/Xondrea loved her little brother. My heart goes out to each of you!
