Killer’s Father Convicted Of Child Rape Twice

(Memphis) In 2011, James Hawkins Jr. was convicted of brutally killing his girlfriend and mother of his children, Charlene Gaither, and making one daughter help dispose of the body.

It was during that murder trial allegations of several child rapes against James Hawkins Sr. were made and charges were filed.

Today, Hawkins Sr., was convicted of two counts of raping two young female relatives.

The two victims said he started raping them as young as six and it continued until 2010.

There are three more child rape cases pending against Hawkins Sr. and one against Hawkins Jr.

Hawkins Sr. faces up to 25 years in prison on each of the two counts.
