(Memphis) Memphis Police have arrested and charged one of the men they say was involved in a home invasion Wednesday.

Melvin Moore is charged with aggravated assault and burglary.

Police say Moore and another suspect broke into a man’s home in the 3200 block of Cookie Cove.

The homeowner told police he was in the bathtub when he heard noises coming from his kitchen.

He said he grabbed his gun and found Moore and another man.

The homeowner opened fire shooting Moore who then went to a fire station and was taken to the hospital.

Police say Moore admitted to breaking into the house.

No charges are expected to be filed against the homeowner.

Police also say Moore is tied to a gang beating that happened last year in April.

A girl was beaten by several people including Moore in the Parkway Village area and police say it was caught on surveillance camera.
