Women Attacked At Apartment Complexes In Hickory Hill Community

(Memphis) Three women have been attacked at two Memphis apartment complexes, and the attacks appear to be connected.

Memphis Police said this has happened at Highland Hills Apartments and the Crossings at Fox Meadows Apartments.

Three adult females were attacked on separate occasions while in their apartments.

During the attacks, the suspect sexually assaulted two of the victims.

These incidents occurred between 12 a.m. and 6 a.m., on March 10th and March 21st.

The most recent attack happened minutes before kids left for school.

One teenager thinks she saw the attacker and told security.

“We saw a man in all black with binoculars, and he was looking and pointing at us. He was walking around and hiding behind people’s houses,” said Aisha Nean.

Sources told WREG the third victim woke up to a man standing over her bed.

With a hood covering his face and socks on his hands, he pointed a semi-automatic gun at her head

. He stole her wedding ring, jewelry and cash, and ran away without touching her.

The victim called her husband, and he flagged down police.

Investigators are collecting evidence trying to find out if the suspect is responsible for other sex crimes in the city.

In the meantime, police say they’re increasing patrols in the area hoping to stop the attacker from striking again.

Memphis Police describe the attacker as an African American male, 5’5”-5’8”, 140-160 lbs with a tattoo on his right hand.

In all three attacks he was wearing a blue or black hoodie and was armed with a handgun.

Sex Crimes investigators are asking anyone with information to please call Crime Stoppers at 528-CASH or the Sex Crimes Bureau at 636-3330.

A $1,000 reward is being offered if you can help catch the attacker.

Last month, we told you three women were raped at the Abbington Apartments off Raleigh-LaGrange Road.
