Dixon Comes Up Clutch for Tigers

Raleigh, NC– Michael Dixon scored 19 points and hit 4 critical free throws in the final 10 seconds as the Tigers held off George Washington 71-66 to advance to the Round of 32 for a 2nd straight season.

Chris Crawford got the Tigers off and running with three early 3’s and Joe Jackson was solid, scoring 15 points as the Tigers 4 senior guards combined for 48 points and 16 assists.

The U of M now moves on to take on top-seeded Virginia in the East Region with a tip time of 7:40 Sunday night from Raleigh.
