(Memphis) A Hilton Garden Inn will be built downtown and is expected to open in May 2016.

The 140-room hotel will be built at 235 Union Avenue, where the old Greyhound bus station was located.

“We’re thrilled about the signing of a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in the heart of Memphis, home to our Hilton Worldwide Memphis Commercial Services Center and Hilton Garden Inn brand,” said Adrian Kurre, global head, Hilton Garden Inn.

“By working with Turkey Creek Hospitality, we will bring our brand of upscale, yet affordable hotels to travelers experiencing the musical flavor and energy of The Bluff City,” Kurre added.

The hotel will have an indoor pool, 3,000 square feet of meeting space, a health club, and more.

Turkey Creek Hospitality will own and operate the hotel.

This same company planned on putting a hotel up at Linden between Danny Thomas and Fourth Street. What makes the powers that be so sure they are going to come thru on this plan??

Memphis is on the move I love it A.C has taken the game to the next leave. When a man is doing the right thing hey you got to give it up.. At this rate Memphis will be back in less than five years.
