(Memphis) As we told you last week, the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security is trying to reduce wait time at area driver service centers.

The longest wait in the state is typically at the Hickory Ridge Driver License Reinstatement Center.

One thing the state learned is many people use their tax return to get their license reinstated so they’re opening the center for the next five Saturdays.

The center, located at Hickory Ridge Mall, will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 22 and 29, April 4, 12, and 26.

“Citizens are urged to make sure they have the correct documents before visiting the reinstatement center to avoid delays and possible returns for service.  To check your status and to see what documents are needed, go to https://apps.tn.gov/tndlr/ and click on the “Pay Reinstatement Fees” tab.”

Lazy employees in Memphis…..I don’t believe it. I always get excellent service at McDonalds and other fast food places.

What kind of financially unsound human being uses their tax return to renew their driver’s license? What a sad way to live…
