(Los Angeles, CA) A 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck just west of Los Angeles Monday morning, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
News anchors from KTLA could be seen scrambling, trying to get under their desk for protection.
The quake, centered about 6 miles north-northwest of Westwood and about 15 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, happened at 6:25 a.m., according to the USGS.
Earlier, the USGS said the magnitude was 4.7.
Just after midnight, Loretta, TN had a 2.3 quake.
