Grizzlies Storm Past Blazers

Memphis, TN-Known as one of the top defensive teams in the NBA, the Grizzlies turned to their offense to beat Portland, 109-99, at FedEx Forum on Tuesday.

The Grizzlies used their two big guns inside to do the heavy lifting while shooting a season-best 56 percent from the floor.  Marc Gasol led the Grizzlies with 19 points.  Zach Randolph added a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

The Grizzlies are now a season-high 11 games over five hundred at 37-26.  They own a one-game lead over Phoenix for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

The Grizzlies play at New Orleans on Wednesday.
