Memphis, TN-Grizzlies back-up point guard Nick Calathes continues to shine in a starting role for the injured Mike Conley.

Calathes and center Marc Gasol scored 18 points each to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to a 92-89 victory over the Washington Wizards on Tuesday.

The Grizzlies had to overcome a career-high 37 points by Wizards guard Bradley Beal to improve to 28-23.

The Grizzlies led by 16 points early in the second half, but ended up trailing 82-80 early in the fourth quarter.

Randolph, Courtney Lee and James Johnson scored 13 each for the Grizzlies, who play at Orlando on Wednesday.
