FedExForum– Joe Jackson couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate his 22nd birthday, rising up to block Gonzaga’s 7-foot center Przemek Karnowski to help kickstart a huge rally as the Tigers knocked off Gonzaga 60-54.

After that block, the U of M went on a 12-2 run to cut the Zags lead to two.  The Tigers then closed the game on a 17-2 run to beat Gonzaga for the 6th time in 7 games.

Michael Dixon and Chris Crawford paced the Tigers with 11 points while Jackson and Shaq Goodwin both chipped in 10 as the U of M improved to 18-5 by winning this Top 25 showdown.

The Tigers also held the Zags, the nation’s 2nd-best 3-point shooting team, to 2-of-16 from outside the arc.
