Oklahoma City, OK-Kevin Durant continues to play like a league MVP for Oklahoma City. On Monday, Durant scored 31 points, grabbed eight rebounds and handed out eight assists to lead the Thunder past the Memphis Grizzlies, 86-77, snapping the Grizzlies’ six-game win streak.
The Grizzlies were led by Zach Randolph, who had a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. His frontcourt teammate, Marc Gasol, also had 13 points for the Grizzlies, who fall to 26-21.
The Grizzlies trailed by as many as 17 points late in the first half before pulling to within three in the fourth quarter, but they couldn’t get over the hump.
The Grizzlies are back home on Wednesday to host Dallas. The Grizzlies and Mavericks are battling for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
