(WREG-TV) A Westwood family is homeless after their home was destroyed by an overnight fire.

The fire started around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 4300 block of Don St. — which is near South 3rd St. and Ford Rd.

The house was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived. It took them nearly 45 minutes to put out the flames.

The two people who lived there weren’t home when the fire started. They’re now being helped out by the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
