(Memphis) MLGW is offering customers a way to get their electricity restored without paying the full amount they owe at one time.

The emergency reconnection program is being offered during the extreme winter weather expected in the Mid-South.

If the power is cut off due to non-payment, customers can pay $225 to have their services reconnected.

The balance owed will then be spread out over the next six months.

To sign up for the reconnect plan, customers can visit MLGW payment locations at 2424 Summer Avenue and 2935 Lamar Avenue. Both locations will be open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm on Sunday, January 5th.

The program runs through January 10th.

Evidently the office managers needed to buy some bread and milk so they closed TWO HOURS early. As reported on WREG with no explanation. Selfish and lazy workers with warm homes.

$225?! If the utilities were shut off due to delinquency in the first place, how in the world does MLGW think these customers will have that kind of money to get them turned back on? Unbelievable.
