Beverly Robertson Is A Bright Spot In Our Community

(Memphis) Beverly Robertson is retiring after 16 years of running the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis.

She's helped make the museum a must see place in the bluff city.

The museum welcomes more than 200,000 visitors a year, 50,000 of whom are school children.

Beverly says working with icons like Maxine Smith and Dr. Benjamin Hooks helped her realize just how important it is to preserve this history and that's the legacy she leaves.

Robertson plans to stay active in the community.

Beverly was the right person, 16 years ago to put in charge of the museum . Her results prove me right. I worked side by side with Beverly at holiday inns, inc and knew what she was made of. A retirement well earned.
