(Memphis) Bride-to-be Latrease Thompson remembers her and fiance Thomas’s first date like yesterday.
Twelve years and three kids later, they’re finally tying the knot after she picked out her dream dress.
“The whole dress was cream but it had the lavender colors and it had the train that I wanted. It was perfect and now I don’t have it,” said Thompson.
Their daughter was staring out their upstairs window Sunday morning and noticed something missing.
“She went to the bathroom and came and said, ‘Momma y’all van gone,’” said Thompson.
The dress, programs, and decorations were all in the back of their now stolen mini-van.
“I have cried all morning. I went to church and was like God got our back,” said Thompson
She’s praying for a miracle but doesn’t know what she’ll wear on her special day now.
She spent all day Sunday and Monday searching the neighborhood.
She hoped to find her minivan abandoned someplace or even just the dress bag tossed on the side of the road.
She had no luck.
Her fiance Thomas says no matter what she’s wearing she’ll still be his beautiful bride.
He’s hoping for a change for the thief.
“We forgive him, we pray for him, we just hope he turns his life around.”
