Tigers Ride Turnovers and Field Goals to Win in Tampa

Tampa, FL— Freshman kicker Jake Elliot kicked three field goals including a school-record 56-yarder to close out the 1st half and Bobby McCain had three interceptions returning one for a touchdown as the Tigers got their first ever American Athletic Conference win, 23-10 at South Florida.

The Tigers forced five USF turnovers including a fumble at the U of M goal line that kept the Bulls off the scoreboard in the first half.  Martin Ifedi also had two sacks as the Tigers improve to 3-6 as they head to Louisville next weekend.
