Chess Pie Recipe from The Peabody
The Peabody Buttermilk Chess Pie
Exec. Pastry Chef Konrad Spitzbart
2 cups Sugar
2 Tbsp. a.p.flour
5 whole eggs
2/3 cup buttermilk
½ cup melted butter
1 teasp. Vanilla extract
1-9 inch pie crust
Preheat oven to 350 F
In a large bowl combine sugar and flour
Add and beat, mix buttermilk and eggs until blended, add melted butter and vanilla extract.
Pour mixture into pie crust and bake about 45 minutes or until filling is set.
It helps to pre-bake pie crust a little.
