MS AG: Hidden Guns OK On Campus With Enhanced Permit

(Jackson, MS) Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood said people with an enhanced concealed-carry permit may legally take hidden firearms onto public school campuses, as long as the area is generally open to the public.

Hood gave his nonbinding legal opinion during an interview earlier this week.

Last month, De Soto County decided people with enhanced permits can carry guns into county buildings, including the courthouse.

    And we are all safer for it. It’s good to know that there may be a good guy around with a gun instead of just the bad guys.

    We already knew this (“The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun”), but nice to see the only state-wide elected Democrat isn’t fighting it.
