(Memphis) An teen is now walking with limp after being shot in both legs last month at the Goodwill Village Apartments.

Yesterday, police arrested 25-year-old Alonzo Thomas on charges of aggravated assault.

He is being held on an $85,000 bond.

Justin Joyner, 18, told police Thomas walked up to him, accused him of taking a wallet from his house and then pulled out a gun and shot him in his legs.

Neighbors say after it happened Joyner crawled to a neighbor's house for help.

"He was crawling to the neighbor’s house across the street and they propped his head up and he passed out and they helped him until police came," said Cortney Bess.

Bess doesn't know what led up to the shooting, but says Joyner is lucky it wasn't worse.

In 2006 Thomas was sentenced to 12 months in prison for attempted robbery and kidnapping.
