Suspect Arrested in City Park Shooting

(Memphis)  Memphis Police have arrested a suspect in Wednesday night’s shooting at a city park in Raleigh.

20-year-old Joshua Johnson is charged with attempted second degree murder for the shooting of Quantize Chalmers at Raleigh-Bartlett Meadows Park.

According to the police report, Chalmers was walking with a group of friends when Johnson began yelling at them and started shooting.

Chalmers was hit in the lower back. Doctors at the MED say the bullet will cause him to be permanently paralyzed.

Johnson is scheduled to be in court on Tuesday.
