(Memphis)  Memphis Police are searching for clues after a deadly shooting overnight in South Memphis.

Around 1:20 a.m. Monday, police were called to the 1100 block of South Orleans north of McLemore Ave. — after neighbors heard gunshots.

When officers arrived, they found a man in his 40’s lying on the ground in a vacant lot. He had been shot and died at the scene.

Police are still working to identify the man — and they have no leads on any suspects at this time.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (901) 528-CASH.
