(Germantown) Houston High School and Middle School both dismissed classes at 12:30 p.m. Friday due to a water main break.

There was an irrigation problem that required the electricity be turned off to fix. That issue has since been resolved.

The schools were also affected later in the day by a water main break at the corner of Johnson Road and Wolf River Boulevard.

Homes in the area without water are along the Wolf River corridor between Forest Hill-Irene and the eastern Germantown city limits.

As of 2 p.m., crews were working to control the flow of water. Officials are unsure when water service will be restored.
