(Memphis) You know those LinkedIn requests that pile up in your inbox?

You might want to start answering them.

That’s because more and more recruiters are turning to the social network for candidates.

According to a new study, 77 percent of companies use social media to recruit new employees.

They do this because many hiring managers are looking for passive candidate, or people who aren’t actively looking.

It gives employers more options when they’re looking at hundreds of user profiles, instead of just those people who put in applications.
