(Brownsville,TN) It didn't last long, but a powerful storm that moved through Brownsville yesterday afternoon left behind a mess.

Crews are still working to replace utility poles and restore power to the area.

Ruby Sibley was in her backyard when the rain and wind picked up.

She took shelter in a shed.

Friday morning, her street was still closed because of all the down power lines.

She was doing her best to keep cool without power.

"It's hot in the house," said Sibley.

There are downed power lines and trees all over Brownsville. Some tree branches destroyed or damaged homes.

Gary Overton and his crew were trying to cut and clear some of the trees.

He says he'll be at it all day.

"It's a mess. It's definitely a mess," said Overton.

So far, there have been no reports of any injuries.
