(Memphis) Shelby County Commission committee decided not to set the county tax rate, instead putting it off for another week.

The tax rate will now go to the full commission without a recommendation.

The tax rate was to be set last week at the third reading until two commissioners changed their votes.

The rate was to be set at $4.38 however Commissioners Justin Ford and James Harvey decided to change their votes.

It’s believed those two commissioners are looking for a rate around $4.30 but that did not pass either.
