Suspect Arrested in Teenager’s Murder

(Memphis)  A Memphis man is behind bars facing murder charges in connection with the shooting death of a Frayser teenager.

Police arrested 22-year-old Bandreicus Farmer on Monday for last week’s murder of 19-year-old Barry Burse.

Police say Burse and Farmer were involved in an altercation on July 1st outside a home in the 2500 block of Hawkins Mill Road. The fight escalated and police say Farmer pulled out a gun.

Farmer is being held on $350,000 bond and will be arraigned Tuesday morning.

Family members say Burse was a student at Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas. He was home visiting family members for the Fourth of July holiday.
