Suspect Arrested In South Memphis Shooting

(Memphis) Police have arrested a suspect in connection with Monday’s shooting that injured a South Memphis woman.

Police say 21-year-old Markeia Martin is charged with aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.

Martin was arrested Wednesday evening for the Monday afternoon shooting at South Parkway and Latham.

Police say Martin was involved in an altercation with a group of women and ended up shooting a 22-year-old woman.

The victim was taken to the MED in critical condition.

Martin is scheduled to be in court on Friday for her arraignment.
