Shelby County Inmate Disappears From Work Detail

(Shelby Co., TN) A 26-year-old Shelby County Corrections Center inmate walked away from his work detail at the Lichterman Nature Center in east Memphis today.

Authorities are looking for Daniel Webster, who was part of a three-man crew doing landscaping work. Nature center supervisors reported him missing at about 12:40 p.m.

Webster is a black male, 5’4" and 130 lbs. with braided hair. He was wearing a light blue shirt with the letters “SCDC” in yellow across the back. The sides of his blue jeans were also trimmed with the yellow letters.

Webster has the word "Jessica" tattooed on his neck.

Webster, who was serving a four-year sentence for theft of property and vandalism, had to meet certain qualifications to work at the nature center.
