Turner began shooting at his wife inside their home on Kipling Drive. She ran to a neighbor’s house for help as he continued shooting, and was struck in her left calf and right thigh.

Turner, who was armed with a revolver and semi-automatic handgun, surrendered when officers found him in his driveway.

His wife was taken to Jackson-Madison County General Hospital for treatment.

Turner is charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated domestic assault. He is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, July 8, in Madison County Circuit Court.
