Graduation Day for Mid-South Cadets

(Millington) Saturday was a big day for a special group of graduates.

Nearly 200 members of the Naval Sea Cadet Corps marched in a graduation ceremony.

The cadets, ages 11-18, completed training at the Naval Support Activity MidSouth in Millington.

Cadets traveled from all over the country to participate.

The Tennessee BB43 Division hosted two weeks of training sessions. The sessions included classroom exercises and field trips to military installations and Navy and Coast Guard ships.

The U.S. Navy Sea Cadets Corps and the U.S. Navy League Cadet Corps are part of  the non-profit American Youth Organization.

It was established by the Navy League 4 years ago.
