Hotel Clerk Gives Thief Key To Woman’s Hotel Room

(Memphis) A woman was pistol whipped and robbed in her hotel room after the hotel clerk gave a man a key to the room.

Police say 28-year-old Michael Wolfe got the key to the Real Value Inn room at about 2 a.m. Friday.

After entering the room, he hit the female guest with a gun, then stole her car keys and $200 in cash.

Wolfe is in jail, charged with aggravated robbery, evading arrest, convicted felon in possession of a handgun and taking contraband into a penal facility.

The hotel clerk, 23-year-old Jessie Watkins, has been charged with aggravated robbery.
